This was a very exciting project to work on. Situated on the prestigious Nettleton Ridge Estate, House 3 was the brainchild of Stuart Chait of Land Equity, and was brought to life by the architectural genius of Peerutin Architects.
The home is a showstopper. Driving along Kloof Road either towards Camps Bay or Sea Point, you can’t miss wonder of House 3 on the mountain side just below Nettleton Road.
This was a spec house that was being built to be sold, and our scope of works was to design and install all the vital services such as alarm, CCTV, intercom, lighting control (Lutron automation), DSTV and WiFi. We were also tasked with ensuring that all the necessary wire-way and cable infrastructure was in place to allow the future home-owner to go wild with upgrades.
Oh by the way, all the above mentioned services are tied together with a state of the art Control4 automation system. Sleek, elegant and powerful touchscreens are mounted around the home in central locations.
In terms of getting the vision from paper to reality, a “no cutting corners” policy was required. Thankfully, the whole professional team and all the sub-contractors were on board with this and the project was a great success. Such a success that it’s now on the market for a cool R150 million.
